Silent Voices Press
Submissions are now open for single authored or collaborative poetry pamphlets on the theme of ‘Silent Voices.’
Silent voices can be interpreted in many different ways, from forgotten voices of history, to the voices of the natural world, ecology and environmental crisis, or the human voices of oppression, displacement or loss.
Whatever subject, we are looking for pamphlets that break or illuminate silence, or raise awareness.
Silent voices must be heard, so make the silence deafening.
Voices can be strong and vivid, evocative, haunting or sensitive, subtle or loud, but they must give a voice back to their subject.
We are interested in all types of poetry from traditional forms to experimental work.
Please send up to 25 poems in a single word document to firstname.lastname@example.org. Individual poems may be previously published. Please include a short bio and a synopsis showing how you feel this work fits our brief/ethos.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please withdraw your work as soon as it is accepted elsewhere.
Two pamphlets will be published in 2019, two in 2020.
We are a micro-publishing press that is non-profit making. All authors will receive 20 free copies of their published book as payment, plus discounts on ordering further copies.
Good luck! We are looking forward to reading your work!
